Who is Sushant Singh Rajput?

Born on 21 January 1986 (Age 34 years), Sushant Singh Rajput was a self-made talented Bollywood actor. He was not only a great actor but also a great human being. He started his career with television series and became a superstar of the Bollywood film industry. Shushant gave many blockbusters and hit movies to the industry.

However, Sushant is no more with us, but his memories always remain alive in our hearts.

Early Life

Rajput was born at Maldiha village, Purnia (Bihar). Among the five siblings, he was the youngest. Since childhood, Sushant was a bright student. Mr. Rajput moved to Delhi along with his family after completing the 10th board from St. Karen’s High School, Patna in 2000. Two years later his mother passed away.

After completion of his 12th standard from Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Delhi, he pursued mechanical engineering from Delhi College of engineering. 

During his college days, he got fascinated by acting and theatre and decided to become an actor. Therefore he joined Barry John‘s theatre and Shiyamak Davar‘s dance academy to improve his acting and dancing skills. In the middle of his studies, he flew to Mumbai to live his dream.

Breakthrough & Achievements

After struggling a lot, Rajput got his first break in the television series Kis Desh Me Hai Mera Dil in 2008. He played the character of Preet Juneja. From this series, he started gaining, some recognition. 

In 2009 he auditioned for the television series Pavitra Rishta and get selected for the lead role. He played the character of Manav Deshmukh. This character made him very popular across India.

He also participated in two television reality shows Jara NachKe Dikha 2 and Jhalak Dikhla Ja 4.

The year 2013 was very lucy for Mr. Rajput as he got his first break in Bollywood cinema in Abhishek Kapoor‘s directed movie Kai Po Che!. His acting was much appreciated by the audience.

In the same year, he appeared in Sudh Desi Romance opposite Pareeneeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor.

Inspired by his acting, Rajkumar Hirani signed him for PK (2014), Which was the biggest blockbuster of the year.

In 2017, he appeared in M. S. Dhoni: the untold story which proved to be a breakthrough for his film career. He won the Screen Award for the best actor. His performance in the movie established him as one of the finest actors in Bollywood. His other successful movies are Kedarnath, Chhichhore, and Dil Bechara.
