Who is Rajkummar Rao?
Rajkumar Rao was born on 31st August 1984 (age 36 years in 2020). He is one of the most talented artists in Bollywood. Whatever the character he is given to play, he does justice to those characters and leaves an impression in the heart of the audience. Despite an ordinary look, he has not only established himself in Bollywood but also gained recognition in Hollywood. His black comedy Newton was selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars in 2017.

Early Life
Rajkumar was born to Satyapal Yadav and Kamlesh Yadav in a big joint family. He was fond of watching movies since childhood. The whole family used to watch movies on VCR at the weekend, which made a filmy environment at his home. That encouraged him to become an actor.
He did his schooling from Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram, and graduated from Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Delhi University. During his school and college days, he participated in many plays and won several awards. He used to do theater in Sri Ram Center and Kshitij Repertory to improve his acting skills.
After his graduation, he went to Pune and took admission in “Film and Television Institute of India” to earn a diploma in acting. Living about two years in Pune, he moved to Mumbai to seek a break in the movie.
Breakthrough & Achievements
After giving around hundred of auditions for a year and a half, he got a small unnamed role in the movie Rann (2010) as a newsreader. The same year he did Dibakar Banerjee Love Sex Aur Dhokha and started gaining some recognition.
He then appeared in small roles in movies like Ragini MMS (2011), Shaitan (2011), Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 (2012), Chittagong (2012), and Talaash (2012) but played them well.
From the movie Kai Po Che! he started gaining recognition among the audience as he got a nomination for the Filmfare Award for the best supporting actor. In the year 2013, he won National Film Award for Shahid. 2017 was the luckiest year for him in which he gave many hits at the box office. He is now counted among the best actor in Bollywood.
He is the recipient of a National Film Award, an Asia Specific Screen Award (Newton 2017), three Filmfare Awards, and many others.
